1 reviews for New Leaf Market
I am a long time shopper of New Leaf Markets, mostly the one downtown. As of late, I've been more than a little unhappy with this store.
As a long time vegetarian, it's obvious that this market is catering to the "whatever sells" mentality. Seldom do I find a vegetarian entree in the hot food section other than dried up pasta, rice, and kale. The pizza is too often meat, and the daily "Green Lunch Specials" seem to be little more than a sad joke on those of us who like to eat green and healthy.
Twice in the last week, I've noticed cashiers dumping the penny containers in to cash register. Let me remind the New Leaf Management. That money is NOT yours! A short time ago I needed 3 cents to complete my purchase. I took a nickle out of the penny jar, and the cashier refused to put the two cent change back in the container. I was told it was company policy.
To add to my gripes, New Leaf is one of the most expensive food stores I've ever shopped at. Seems they are trying to justify the 7.5 million in so called improvements.
Well, at this point in time I've started to go to Staff of Life to do all my major purchases. Good prices and veggie friendly.
