The visitor center is based in a historic dutch building and the pumping station so that alone was worth seeing. The man behind the desk was so kind and helpful. There is a great exhibit of the history of Albany and even some models of cast iron stoves to show examples of the industry that once dominated Albany. We spent about 30 minutes here just absorbing all the information. Very well laid out and informative. You should definitely make your first stop in Albany the visitors center.

Great exhibits on the history of Albany, along with the most comprehensive visitor assistance by far in Albany! The staff is outstanding and feel free to ask them anything! They have free maps, brochures, a walking tour brochure, and a great gift shop and planetarium open weekends.The Visitors' center has many items from the old Dutch period of NY as well as information on Albany life in the 1800's, and the surrounding region present day. I recommended to all my friend visits once time. -
First time in Albany, needed accommodation overnight and called in to the visitor centre, all staff were very helpful and gave us as many options as we required, booked our accommodation for us, gave us advice as on which attractions were available, gave us area maps at no charge. Was quite late in the day when we visited, but were not put under any pressure to hurry with our requests.

I had to visit last year with family to Albany to spending my vacations. Albany Convention & Visitors Bureau provides the great services, I love it. Staff were so cooperative with all the members. I suggest to all my close friends visit once time. I want to Also go once time again with my family. -

It was a wonderful experience to stay in Albany, GA with my friends. We all enjoyed a lot there and explore many things. Beautiful city it was. Hotels, malls, restaurants all were very amazing. Thanks Albany discover for their friendly services.

Albany is an excellent location in USA to visit. When i am decide to spend vacations in Albany then i always prefer to contact Discover Albany, GA. They provide best place for your relax & breakfast buffet is very tasty and well maintained. Staff is very friendly behaviour and helpful. Hotels are very clean and perfect for stay.
