  One of many T-Mobile chains around Manhattan, but I've always had great customer service and helpful advice here (unlike at some other T-Mobile shops around the city) as I try to avoid getting roped into a long-term contract.

  The staff are always pretty knowledgable also, especially back before the '4g' days when EU mobiles, while unlocked, didn't actually support the T-Mobile 3g / UMTS network (or vice-versa).
